Ryan Reynolds
Senior Scientist
Ph.D. (Theoretical Chemistry) Northwestern University, 2018
B.S. (Chemistry) Michigan State University, 2010
Dr. Reynolds joined Spectral Sciences, Inc. as a Senior Scientist in June 2019. He is currently working to improve models of exhaust plume signatures using insights from computational chemistry. His graduate research involved the development of new computational tools for predicting the magnetic properties of lanthanide single-molecule magnets and similar organometallic complexes; this project gave him experience with relativistic quantum chemistry, multi-configurational electronic structure theory, and code development for parallel computing. Before graduate school, he was primarily an experimental chemist, having worked on methanol-to-gasoline reactions and the analysis of surfactants and polymers.
