Principal Scientist
Ph.D. (Engineering Mechanics) The University of Texas at Austin, 2017
B.S. (Civil and Environmental Engineering) Cornell University, 2010
Dr. Alexandra (Sasha) Woldman joined Spectral Sciences, Inc. in August 2020. At SSI, she is supporting modeling of particulates in plume gas signatures. Prior to her work at SSI, her doctoral work focused on computational modeling of smart materials that exhibited the giant electrocaloric effect. She created a phenomenological thermodynamic model of the thermo-electro-mechanically coupled material behavior and simulated phase boundary stability, evolution, and entropic behavior using nonlinear finite element and phase-field modeling techniques. Dr. Woldman’s experience includes stress analysis and finite element modeling of metallic and composite structures for aerospace applications.
